Zeffiro's Pizzeria Downtown

As a first time patron; the savoriness of the sauce, crispy edges of the crust, and the perfectly Ratio dough to toppings, is what will keep me coming back Each time I am in town. However, that is not the Primary reason in which I will suggest this pizza place to the masses. There was an issue with my ticket, and I had to speak with a manager. At that time, I witnessed the healthiest balance of ensuring the customer was heard and taken care of, as well as a manager who trusted in her team and Was still uplifting as opposed to chastising in a negative situation. Kudos to this place. T,he pride That each employee takes in this place is evident by the welcoming atmosphere and food that is obviously made with love!!

My husband and I ended up sharing the pizza and pasta. For pizza we did get The Las Cruces and I decided to add some garlic. For pasta we did get the Cajun Shrimp. They were both delicious! The pasta did need some salt but other than that, YUMMY! For dessert I did choose the cheesecake. I was told by the server that ALL desserts are made in house. Let me just tell you I do not regret it. It was the creamiest cheesecake I had ever had. Over all experience 5/5.

We live just a few blocks from Zeffiro’s. Came in for a Saturday meal. I’m blown away. Full on five stars. The green chile lasagna with fennel sausage was bomb diggity. The mixed greens salad was massive and very well put together. But the lemon cream cake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Will definitely make zeffiros a go to. Super good.

This place a go to for my wife and I. The atmosphere is always nice and laid back but with an eloquent vibe that is inviting. Tonight we had one of their specials, Jalapeño Popper Pizza. Hands down one of the best pizzas we have ever had. Cream Cheese base, with strips of jalapeño and bacon pieces. The crust as well was thin but had a lot of good flavor and held the pizza together well. The drinks/cocktails are on point as well. If you want a nice place for a date date or go with a small group a friends, then this is a great place to go to. 12/10 will always come back

First time trying this restaurant and I cannot wait to go again! Wood fired pizza was great, our server Zach was very helpful and friendly and the garlic knots were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Look, I get it; Pizza is ubiquitous. But if you are going to hit the field goal as an Italian restaurant, you need to be able to hit the high notes. Zeffiro's Pizzeria Downtown in beautiful Las Cruces hits the high notes because their choir of offerings is awesome. Having just moved to Cruces, we've been on a search to find the best pizza. We were beginning to lose hope but we heard about Zeffiro's and booked a reservation. THAT was not a mistake. With a huge shout-out to our server Josephine, she suggested a special "Jalapeño Popper" and I had the "Pistol Pete". Like many restaurants here, there is always a nod to the roots of Hatch (world famous chile peppers) and the Mesilla Valley. And I think that is a culinary challenge; but Zeffiro's made it work with their popper pizza. And how do you go wrong with ricotta cheese? NEVER! The Pistol Pete pizza, a nod to the NMSU mascot, was equally fantastic. I've had pizza all over the US. Chicago deep dish, NYC pizza (and you gotta know how to palm that slice in the big apple), LA and Phoenix, each with their own twist. But this place has entered my hall-of-fame right next to Barro's Pizza in Phoenix and Uno's in Chicago. If you want pizza in Las Cruces, this is the place. You will not regret it!

Pasta is 10/10. My serving was the 9” and it was the perfect amount. Noodles were cooked to perfection. Cajun pasta was also 10/10. Chicken was very flavorful. Reasonable prices for the amount we were served. Service was so quick, perfect for us because we were starving. Ate sat and checked out within 35 mins.
